Most individuals do not have a sound basic financial knowledge. Instead, they have gathered or “picked up” information here and there about money and finances. In fact, only 33 percent of adults worldwide are financially literate. This means that approximately 3.5 billion adults globally lack an understanding of basic financial concepts and while many parents are responsible for teaching their children about finances, 31% say they never talk to their children ( according to a CNBC + Acorns and Momentive survey).
It is often said that “Knowledge is Power” yet too often information is mistaken for knowledge. Knowledge by definition is facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
How many people do you know personally that have not experienced difficult times financially? Each person is in the business of creating their best life they can possibly create…it’s their job and responsibility in fact to do so.
