Badass vs. average…which do YOU choose?
Writing this takes a LOT, but I feel it's time to share my story. I wasn’t always the #Badass businesswoman you see today. The date that marks my transformation is January 8th, 2008—almost 11 years ago now. I celebrate that day because it liberated me from a whole lot of bullshit, control, abuse, heartache, and misery.
The Turning Point
That day, I officially ended a toxic relationship and began building a new life for myself and my daughter. I could delve into all the painful and horrible details, but I choose not to invite that darkness into our lives. I care too deeply for the ones I love to dwell on the past.
From Average to Badass
Instead, I focus on my transformation from an average (actually, less than average—beaten down and broken) woman to a badass businesswoman who is strong, confident, and in charge of her life. Here’s how I changed my set point and created a new life from nothing (literally didn’t even have a car or a bed to sleep on!) to running an amazing business based on creating my absolute best life—the one I never thought could ever happen to me!
The Journey
So much happened in between—stuff nobody tells you about when retelling their life stories. These are the stories that will help you understand how to get where you want to be in your own life.
Terrible Relationships: Navigating and learning from unhealthy relationships.
Caring for a Dying Parent: Spending two and a half years looking after a dying parent.
Raising a Child Alone: Balancing single motherhood with personal growth.
Self-Care and Acceptance: Learning to care as much about myself as I do for others and accepting help when needed.
The Catalyst for Change
These experiences contain the lessons and insights you need to turn your own stories into catalysts for your transformation. It’s not about avoiding hardships but about using them as stepping stones to build a better future.
The Road to Success
I promise that the road to #success is not easy or pretty. It's a learning process that, if done well, will create a whole new YOU. Embrace the journey, learn from each experience, and never give up on your dreams.
Remember, your past does not define you. It's what you do with your experiences that shapes your future. Turn your pain into #power, and let your journey be the catalyst for your success.
